The Ditch:
A legacy all-in-one platform cancellation triggered a total digital “blackout.” Because DNS authority was tethered to the host, the account closure deleted all global routing—killing the company website and all Google Workspace email traffic instantly. The client was invisible to customers and cut off from all primary communication.
The Discovery:
The all-in-one platform created a single point of failure with no documentation. Restoration required a forensic “deep dive” into historical DNS data to rebuild the infrastructure blueprints from scratch. Without these original configurations, the brand’s digital assets were effectively orphaned.
The Stewardship:
I reclaimed DNS authority at the registrar and executed a “decoupled” infrastructure rebuild. This included restoring Google Workspace routing and implementing email security protocols (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC)..
The Solution:
Full service restored with verified delivery across Gmail and Microsoft 365; client now owns a resilient, authenticated system with a Master DNS Blueprint.
